Version: Acala Video MP3 Ripper 2.3.8
Pros: It does work. Trial converts 100% of .wav files and 50% of mp3 files. Relatively easy configuration. Looks good. Converts very fast in my opinion.
Cons: "Free . . . . with no limitations" is misleading advertising; that is a crime. That doesn't seem to matter to CNET.com though. It seems like they let anyone post software to this site and lie about it. Acala Video MP3 Ripper 2.3.8 costs $25. It does work, but does not reduce noise or improve sound quality in any way. It is impossible to accurately choose the start and end points of the sound you want to extract from the video; even though Acala advertises editing ability. In my opinion it is not worth $25. I would pay $3 for this application, no more.
