Publisher's description of AbsoluteTelnet Telnet / SSH / SFTP Client 6.28
AbsoluteTelnet provides Telnet, SSH, SSH2, SFTP, dialup, and serial connectivity in the new tabbed multi-session interface or the classic single-session interface. A wide range of emulations are provided, including VT100, VT220, VT320, XTERM, WYSE60, ANSI, SCO-ANSI, ANSI-BBS, and QNX. Packed with options such as SOCKS5, IPV6, BIDI (bidirectional text), Arabic shaping, and IDNA (International Domain Names for Applications), Absolute is sure to support the technology you need. Absolute supports single-sign-on capability through advanced authentication features such as smartcard, and GSSAPI (ActiveDirectory, Kerberos and NTLM). Encryption options such as Blowfish, Twofish, AES, Arcfour, 3DES, Cast128, IDEA, and RC4 provide maximum security in today's insecure environments. SFTP, xmodem, ymodem, and zmodem protocols provide extensive file-transfer support. AbsoluteTelnet supports connections on serial ports greater than COM9 and has a variable scrollback size.
Version 6.28 includes a new integrated GUI SFTP client along with a number of bug fixes and enhancements.

Version: AbsoluteTelnet Telnet / SSH / SFTP Client 6.28
"Rock solid product, and stellar support"
Pros: Everything I've ever wanted to configure or customize about how it works, it can. Yet it's not bloated with a bunch of un-necessary features. It has exactly what I need in an SSH and SFTP client, works every time, never crashes, never gives me trouble. Incredibly intuitive, too. Everything is where I'd expect it'd be. Simply brilliant.

Version: AbsoluteTelnet Telnet / SSH / SFTP Client 6.28
"Compact, easy to use, great emulation"
Pros: Very easy to use. Solid Emulation. SFTP now built in. Serial, SSH1 and SSH2 is great for Cisco shops. On the fly terminal resizing.
Cons: SFTP still has some bugs and is slower than using free utilities like WinSCP
Should auto sense SSH1 or SSH2
Occasional crashes using SFTP
Cut and Paste should use standard cut and paste keysSummary: I've been using Absolute Telnet for years. It now supports SFTP, but still needs a lot of bugs worked out with that. This is by far the best emulation product I've used, and I've used everything from Procomm to miniterm to Putty. Tabbed interface... read more >>
