Abakt

Abakt is a free backup tool for Windows.

Filter: By name, using wildcards, sets or other advanced masks. Other filters are: attribute, size, age and modification date.

Backup: You can create a standard PKZIP zip archive, a Zip64 archive or call the external tool 7-Zip. And it is possible to simply copy, move or delete the selected files.

Automation: Abakt accepts command line arguments. Use the command line options to feed a Task Scheduler, or in your batch scripts.

What's new in this version:

  • Dealt with the '[' character that may be present in Source directory names and caused filters to have unexpected effects. This fix only works when you create a new FilterSet for a directory name that contains a '[' character. Existing FilterSets will not be updated.
  • Not fixed: command line option '-m' bug: Abakt does not close when this option is used if the user is not logged in. See Known Issues.
