Version: AVS Video Editor 3.5
Cons: Their lifetime membership means until they decide it's time for you to pay for their software again. They claim that I received a refund, but I did not. The company who processed my payment agree with me and have documented proof, but AVS refuses to answer their calls. I have been robbed by AVS, don't let them rob you too.

"Excellen program for the price"
Pros: More features than many higher priced products. good selection of transitions and special effects; good editing tools and scene creation & editing. Audio editing features are very good also.
Cons: Interface is not very intuitive and takes some time to get used to and learn.

"DOES NOT SAVE WORK...CRASHES UNEXPECTEDLY...WASTE OF TIME"
Cons: This software is the the most unreliable I have used in a while. Even saving your work continuously does not guarantee that you will open a project later and it will have saved your work up to where you left off. It is EXTREMELY UNSTABLE and crashes and lock ups are frequent. If you do get your project to a point where a movie can be made, it puts a big logo smack dab in the middle of the screen and then tries to get you to buy. Don't even waste your time. Powerpoint does a better job than this piece of junk. AVS SOFTWARE SUCKS.
