I've been having some major problems with my computer. AVG can't fix them all but it does a good job of scanning for viruses and it does it's job quietly..little windows now and then so you know it's on the job..without all the fanfare and distractions of some of the other similar programs.

Smart. Easy. AVG gives you the feel of a hands on approach without burdening you with having to approve each and every application or phase of an application unlike Comodo (and I SWORE by Comodo anti virus for a VERY long time)
Cons
I have two user accounts on my system. One for work one for everyday stuff. When getting ready for work & switching to that account I have to go through the process of shutting down the update & scan because it takes up system resources AND often doesn't allow you to access things you need to. This is a smart feature in truth but it also is one that I end up circumventing by avoiding it all together. Likely this is just something I need to adjust in the properties. Am I the only one that doesn't take that simple step?
