Easy configuration.
Requires little or no attention. Just the occasional update.Cons

Summary
Using this anti-virus teamed with Microsoft Firewall and router firewall for over 3 years. Have not had a single virus or malware issue in all of that time.

Catches just about everything; Standard features are easy to use GUI.
Cons
Tech support is pretty bad, especially at $52 a year for the "full" version.
Summary
If you want to do ANYTHING in depth and need tech support, be prepared for a loooooong wait, in chat you can expect more than likely a person who speaks English as a second language and so chat messages can be hard to decipher. Expect a lot of them repeating back to you what you said, IN WRITING (like they are stalling for time as they probably Google for the answer to your question). Then he tried to sell me MORE software. I spent 40 minutes dealing with that and never did get an answer to my problem. Instead they promised to email me a solution. They didn't. They emailed me a solution to a completely different problem. I gave up. Won't be buying AVG again.
