Though not a full-fledged sound editor, this handy utility tweaks the sound of your voice in a number of ways. In our testing, AV VCS Diamond changed the sound of our voice in real time, which makes the utility perfect for masking your true identity during chats or Internet phone calls. In addition to modifying pitch and timbre, the program lets you add various effects to your voice. For example, you can add a telephone effect, distortion, or reverb; cut bass or high frequencies; and filter out noises. The program also lets you save your customized settings, so you can instantly sound like a girl (if you aren't one already), an old man, or a macho guy. Unfortunately, we had difficulty fully evaluating the program, as the trial version disables many important features. From what we did see, AV VCS Diamond seems like a good call for those wishing to retain their online anonymity, for karaoke fans, and for certain audio enthusiasts.Publisher's description
