APOD Viewer is a Sherlock 3 channel that provides easy access to the images and data on NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day website.
Key features:
- On launch, today's APOD picture and explantion data is automatically retrieved and displayed
- Day to day navigation via the 'Next', 'Previous' & 'Go Today' buttons
- Search mechanism to find up to 199 pictures for specified criteria (e.g. "nebula", "halley", "working in space" etc) with the clickable results loaded into a separate results drawer
- Ability to save selected APODs into a "Favourites" area for easy retrieval at a later date
- Option to view the high resolution image either Proportionally or at Actual Size
- Local saving of Full Size picture via dragging (i.e. to the desktop etc.)
What's new in this version: Minor bug fixes for v1.01:
- Search now returns the correct number of results (previously first result was not displayed).
- Site Stats changed to show previous month's stats (more relevant)
- Version History added to the stats window and associated button renamed "History & Usage"
