AMPC is a C compiler that generates Java byte code. AMPC enables programmers to develop applications using existing C language skill set targeting the JVM enabled devices such as the PDAs, cell phones, game consoles, automotive systems, and desktop systems. AMPC can also be used to port existing C applications to the JVM, which means deriving new revenue streams from previously developed applications. Version 1.2.8 improved the support for 64-bit DOUBLE type operations.
