Version: AK-Player 5.1.17
Pros: It has instructions in broken english.
Cons: This is NOT the file. This is a file that begins the download: Bad!
It installs additional programs: Very Bad!
It crashed. Would not open a movie file.

Version: AK-Player 5.1.17
Pros: magnificent multimedia player that gives very high quality and options, among which is a powerful zooooom, multiscreen (to watch various videos at the same time or one on fullscreen), we can accelerate or reduce the speed of playback (whether video or MP3), etc.
Also, its internal searcher lets us access the temporary file folder for videos and songs to play them
It's nice and it's free...

Version: AK-Player 5.1.17
"bells and whistles without the basics"
Cons: DO NOT WANT.
just installed this app. it d/ls super fast because it's just a stub that's going to then go and download a bunch more stuff. one of which is a "voice to text" ? um- what? the next one is an "MS Agent". yes, that's right - you have to install an "agent" (remember Microsoft Bob ?), which is really ridiculous.
Once i ran the application, all that came up was a super minimalist interface, with two or three single letter buttons. But no button like "open" so that i could choose the file to open. Then the "agent" - a silly cartoon butler - pops up and wants me to do a tutorial, but there's no way to skip around in the tutorial, you have to follow along and press each button that he tells you to press.
meanwhile, the butler is talking like the computer voice from War Games, but with poor english. I mean, give me a break, i just wanted to play a video! So I tried the website, and it's also got very little of value on it in terms of basic usage.
When i finally figured out how to open files 10 minutes later, I tried to open a DVD file (yes, i do have the codec), and the app crashed.
DO NOT WANT.
