Users of AOL's instant messenger program will appreciate this free toolbar's quick links and added functionality that enhance the usage of AIM.
AIM Toolbar (for Internet Explorer) attaches a slim toolbar to your IE window. The shortcut buttons are colorful without being too loud. You'll find that the preset shortcut buttons will keep you close to your IM. There's a button for setting your IM status, and to IM the page you're browsing. There are also buttons to take you directly to AOL's video and music sites. Using the Options menu, you can customize the toolbar by adding shortcuts for your favorite sites, such as Facebook, Flicker, and IMDb. You'll find all the standard toolbar features, such as a pop-up blocker, and browser history cleaner. You can add a weather button, but it doesn't actually display the weather on the toolbar; instead, it takes you to AOL's weather site. The search functionality, links, and buttons worked very well during our tests.
It covers the basics and allows for easy customization. We highly recommend this toolbar for all AIM users.
