There's a key distinction between this free browser toolbar and most similar toolbars on the market, and it isn't a positive one. Quicktoolbar is a tiny executable file with a seemingly typical installation. On first use it appears as a basic toolbar in IE. It's complete with search fields and pulldown menus to choose search engines. Unfortunely, Quicktoolbar does a disappearing act between that use and the next time you open your browser.
Do a little investigative work, and you'll find that Quicktoolbar appears in Add/Remove Programs. However, it isn't listed in the add-on fields of IE or Firefox. Attempt a second install and the executable immediately quits with an error message. However, some testers found it caused Add/Remove Programs to lock up, as well.
When it does work, Quicktoolbar only offers basic search options. The toolbar design looks like a beta version. There are a host of free search toolbars on the market, and this one doesn't even begin to compete.
The Quicknation Searchbar is a free Internet Explorer or Firefox toolbar that enables you to search over 100 search engines. Browse smarter and use the web more efficiently with the most complete toolbar available.
