Though it's not your typical online privacy tool, this app lets you contol some aspects of Internet Explorer, as well as log online activities. The basic, easy-to-understand interface shouldn't confuse most intermediate users and, as a bonus, can be skinned using a number of bundled themes. With a few clicks, you can perform actions such as disabling menu and toolbar items, as well as downloads. Additionally, the Web Spy function allows you to grant and block access to selected sites, apply password protection to access certain sites, and/or control the time users spend on those sites. While you can use the program to quickly wipe away your IE surfing history and cookies, you won't find more advanced privacy features, such as the ability to clean up after third-party applications or shred files. Parents, system administrators, and owners of shared computers might find 1st Internet Privacy Tool a useful download, but those looking to fully mask their computer activities will need to look at something else.Publisher's description
From SSS Lab :1st Internet Privacy Tool is a utility that customizes many aspects of the Internet Explorer Web browser. It's a snap to use and provides the tools you need to retain and manage your Web browser settings. It lets you disable individual menu items and prevent others from editing your Favorites. It also allows you to disable individual tabs in the Internet Options dialog, as well as specific settings from each tab. The powerful Web Spy feature helps you control what Web sites and when users may view. The Password control and Time control options enable you to manage disallowed sites. If a user leaves a page up on IE Browser and then is away from the computer for some time you can make the browser go back to the default page after a certain time of user inactivity. The Kill pop-up windows is an excellent feature to avoid annoying pop-up windows from ever being displayed. Version 6.8 build 6.8.2.2 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
