CNET Editors' review
Anyone who uses the Web for a while knows that login information starts to pile up quickly. With online e-mail accounts, login information for online banking, and countless forums, most users start to use the same passwords for everything. It's pretty easy to see how this is a bad security practice.
Fortunately, you can download 1Password, which remembers all your passwords so you don't have to. Simply come up with a secure master password and then train 1Password to log in to sites for you. It integrates seamlessly with Apple's Mac OS X Keychain and generates complex passwords for you, making it impossible for anyone to crack your code. What's more, you can use 1Password's Go Fill option to automatically login to your favorite sites (think of it as super secure bookmarks) to get you where you want to be quickly.
You can organize your software licenses all in one section, and you can access 1Password from other computers, as well as sync it with your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad--and the app can now integrate closely with the free Dropbox service, for "syncing to the cloud." An easy-to-use Sync Conflict Resolver helps you manage differences in data between multiple devices. Overall, if you have a lot of logins for several Web sites, 1Password is the best software available to keep your logins secure without having to remember tons of passwords.
Publisher's Description
From Agile Web Solutions:
1Password is a Password Manager that uniquely brings you both Security and Convenience. It is the only program that provides Anti-Phishing protection and goes beyond password management by adding Web Form Filling and Automatic Strong Password Generation. All your confidential information, including passwords, identities, and credit cards, is kept in one secure place provided by Apple's OS X Keychain. 1Password browser extensions support Safari, Camino, Firefox, OmniWeb, DEVONagent, NetNewsWire, Netscape Navigator, and Flock. All browser extensions share the data stored in the keychain which means you never need to manually copy your passwords between browsers or from the password manager to a browser ever again! 1Password has received numerous awards, including 4.5 mice from Macworld magazine, MacLife Editors pick, and was the Pick of Week on MacBreak Weekly by both Leo Laporte and Merlin Mann.

Well worth the purchase price.

"Fantastic application, a must have"
Version: 1Password 3.5.3
Pros
Great UI, never crashes, integrates well with browsers, just always works. It also has some really useful features that I use every day like the Wallet Function for using your credit card details online and the My Info for filling out forms.
Cons
They could expand their categories but this is no major issue.
Summary
Not sure what I would do without it now.

"Strong package, not perfect"
Version: 1Password 3.5.3
Pros
The package allows you to manage passwords for websites, credit cards, special notes, etc.
Cons
The wallet is not especially intuitive for storing credit card information, and the bank data is not stored in a clear cut fashion
Summary
Bold menu choices, but I struggle to establish the credit cards in the wallet for online use. Overall, I like the package, and I would recommend its use.

"Fairly easy to use-visually appealing"
Version: 1Password 3.5.3
Pros
Takes the stress out of creating passwords and storing them. No need for sticky notes or paper notebooks filled with passwords! Tech support has been superb!
Cons
It took my middle-aged brain a few tries to figure out what the work flow is in creating passwords in many different situations. But I am getting the hang of it!
Summary
This program is fantastic! I like the fact that I now have strong passwords and 1Password keeps track of them! It is a very visually appealing program also. I have many more to add so it's a work in progress but I would recommend this for anyone!

"Excellent storage cabinet; not so great for automation"
Version: 1Password 3.5.3
Pros
A good, relatively safe place to keep passwords, software info, and other "sensitive" info
Cons
As much as 30% of the time, it does not recall the needed password or user name; if the URL is even slightly different from the one already recorded, 1PW wants to make "new" login; not all that consistent in choosing correct fields for specific info

"Great Product"
Version: 1Password 3.5.3
Pros
1Password works great on my Mac, iPhone and iPAD. I only have to remember one complicated password to open 1Password. It generates passwords that are gobblygook and keeps track of all my travel information so I dont have to carry a wallet of cards.
Cons
Really Nothing, although it would be nice to be able to configure entries in the Wallet Function. Some items do not fall into the categories provided.
Summary
I am very happy with this product. I like not having to be creative in generating new passwords or having to keep track of them in a unsecure manner. I like having all my important and less important information handy on my phone and iPad in a secure manner when I travel. In addition to credit card information, all my rewards numbers, health insurance, car insurance etc is a finger swipe away. I also use the identity function a lot to rapidly fill out order forms on line. It is easy to update and sync between devices and relatively user friendly. My mother and mother-in-law who are e-phobic use the program.

"Enhances the ability to securely protect my many sites."
Version: 1Password 3.5.3
Pros
I create one, extremely strong password for 1Password that I memorize. I then guide 1Password determine the complexity and strength of subsequent passwords, that I no longer need to memorize or lookup (still write them down as backup).
Cons
Some sites still seem not to accept 1Password but, my sites are much more secure.
Summary
It is very unusual that one can become lazier and more effective at the same time. 1Password provides an efficient and secure means of protecting access without the burden of creativity or recall. Otherwise, because of laziness and lack of imagination, I would tend to use similar and less secure passwords for my sites. Continual updates provide a sense of current state-of-the-art value.

"Great software and amazing customer support..."
Version: 1Password 3.5.3
Pros
I love 1Password -- it does a wonderful job of managing passwords, shipping addresses, payment information, and more. Work from multiple computers or have an iPhone? Sync it with Dropbox!
Cons
Zilch. Zip. Nada.
Summary
This is a great piece of software that really does make my life easier in so many ways. In addition to making an excellent program, Agile also provides the best customer support I've ever experienced -- they are a class act who truly "gets" customer service. Highly recommended.
