It makes four kinds of word search puzzles to give you more thought-provoking puzzles. It also gives you four ways to simplify the puzzles for small children. You can discourage cheating by printing a different variation of the same puzzle for each student. If you are a teacher you get a discount, plus we let you install it on both your computer at school and at home. Regular price: $24.95. Teachers and parents (for education of children): $18.71. Site license or CD also available.

"great product! (and not just for teachers)"
Pros: Straightforward and easy to use - just list the words you want in your puzzle and click a few choices, and the software does the rest. A lot of fun, too! I've done Oscar word-searches and posted them on my personal website for friends to print out and play with a night or two before the Academy Awards, plus holiday-themed word searches on my website, as well as several for my family with names, streets, pets, etc. (my mom really likes word-searches). I'm currently working on one for my office's newsletter. You're only limited by your imagination! I also like that I can export the finished product to text, so I can insert it into a Word document and then add graphics, etc.
I have also had occasion to talk to their customer support and they were great - helped me out even though I'd originally gotten my software nearly three years ago!
Cons: At first blush the interface may feel a little bit arcane, especially where you have to decide how to export the puzzle. Just read the screen, though, and after you've done it a couple of times, you'll find the way that suits you best.
Also, be aware that the free demo will not let you export a complete puzzle. It really is a DEMO. If you think you'll have a use for the software, though, I enthusiastically recommend making the one-time investment.

Summary: There aren't many word search programs out there, but this one is definitely worth it! Good options, especially for exporting to a Word Document. Controls are a bit tricky, but you can get used to them. I recommend this to any educator!

"Great for teachers! Easy to use."
Summary: I was a little hesitant about forking over the money for this but they do give a 25% discount to educators so I ended up with this program plus their crossword puzzle maker. I'm sure the students will love being able to use puzzles to learn!
