  Pros

  I tried a dozen before I found this one. Multiple cams. Fast response. It works right out of the gate. Nothing seems to be flakey. straight forward features. Great Price. Not hard to configure. Internet interface too. And way more features than I will used.

  Cons

  Haven't found a flaw yet, but I will keep looking.

  Best for DIY users. Almost has all features you need to build your own surveillance system. Personally I think it best at this prce range.

  Pros

  The only software that can run for more than 6 months without crashing! This is really amazing!

  When system bootup, the interface will freeze when initializing cameras. After that it just works fine.

  Very straight forward user interface. The program is able to auto detect all my cameras. The setup is almost instant. What I like most is the remote backup feature. Even if the whole surveillance computer was taken away, I can still get a backup copy of video and picture logs from the mirror server! The SMS notification is a cool feature. Now I found a way to make use of my old nokia phone :-)

  Cons

  Not really a conn, but I'd like to see X10 devices supported in the next version. I have been using quite a lot X10 devices for home automation. It would be nice to connect a surveillance system to control them.

  Pros

  Tried it for 2 months without any problem. Previously tried honestech video patrol and digiwatcher but removed them as none meet my requirements. I like the daily email report feature which I don't see from any other surveillance software here.

  So far I have no complaint. Just bought one 4 camera pro license.

  Pros

  Rich in feature and flexible remote control interface. Good video quality (they are using xvid if i am not wrong) And most importantThis is the only software can talk integrate with my home alarm unit. Technical support is very helpful(amazing!).

  Cons

  There are bugs in camera configuration page which can sometimes freeze configuration interface. Was told by their support person it will be fixed in versoin 1.5. Anyway, it does not affect my daily surveillance once configured.

  Pros

  Flexible setup, alerts, remote control. The only software I could find that provided extra sensor inputs as well as the video monitoring. This enabled hook into an existing Burgler alarm dialer outputs that now via XtraSense sends e-mail alarms rather than dial-up. The support from their team with my questions and odd bugs was incredible- fast and thorough.

  Cons

  Yes, it can hang when setting camera properties sometimes, and I had a bug with video logs. But not bad for the money.
