Adds functionality I don't get with standard DIR

Display of seconds in file timestamps -- even better, allows you to specify the format string for displaying file information

Pros
Much more powerful than the native Windows dir function. Although, if you're into text UIs, UNIX or Linux might be your operating system of choice.

The manual is a tad long. It would be nice if a one-page reference card is provided.

Power user's directory listings in almost any format. Astonishing set of features. Full unix-like file-name matching. Generate and execute batch scripts directly from the output. Select files older than 'x' days for deletion or archiving or using almost any other criteria such as empty folders. List all files on your drive to track down those space-hungry folders. Version 1.3.0 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
