Place a customizable digital alarm clock on your desktop.
X'nBeep is a digital alarm clock for Windows XP only. Put it everywhere on your desktop, change the color, choose your mp3 alarm. Widget, Clock, Beeper, your desktop will enjoy this little DonationWare.
It does what I want, a lot like a physical kitchen timer....useful when I am online to track chores I am doing around the house concurrently like cooking in microwave or other.
Cons
No real pros for me....good freeware. I can't lose a timer that is running on the computer.

Pros
It's cute. It looks like a mini alarm clock and it's easily moved around your desktop or minimized. However, customizing is limited to simple choosing the color...from 6 choices.
Cons
You can choose any sound file as your alarm, but it will only play the first 10 seconds or so of whatever file you choose, so it's not a "wake up to your favorite song" kind of alarm clock.
<p>Also, it is set on military time (i.e. 5 in the afternoon equals 17:00), and I'm not sure if this is a setting I'm missing somewhere or the only option, but I'm about 90% sure it can't be changed.

Pros
It's free. My alarm clock decided to take a vacation unexpectedly so I downloaded this until I can get a new one. I didn't want to be late for work. Seems to work just fine. Simple to program.
Cons
It wants to be a startup program. Why that is I don't know? (spyware maybe?) Deny startup status and it still works ok though.

Pros
Good looking clock. I can use it instantly since there's no complicated setting.
Cons
Cannot set as "Always on top" and "transparent". So, I cannot replace/hide the windows default clock on system bar.

Pros
Its a great time keeper with alarm and sound-customize function. I really like the simple color scheme and how it just sits on your desktop without worrying about positioning (though available) or any kind of setup. It can be closed at any tiem too and reopened instantly. Takes little RAM.
Cons
Sometimes the interface- clock letters, colors- gets a bit messed up when I move my mouse over it; it adds little specs of black at random points on the clock. Maybe, though, that's just because I used a cursor customization program. Otherwise, i would recommend it.
