Steam meets snow in an atmospheric screensaver especially appealing to lovers of trains and clocks. Watch from multiple angles as a throwback steam train chugs by pines on a snow-blanketed mountain pass. The vista overlooking a desolate valley is a treat, though there only appears to be one. A few more miles of varied scenery would improve the screensaver's visual interest. The locomotive is accompanied by either an analog or digital clock that you choose in the screensaver settings menu.

djschmidt1December 27, 2008
Pros
Nothing it wasn't worth the download
Cons
I only opended two times and both times it wanted me to register, etc. I felt it was a scam and there are better screen savers out there that are free
Summary
Don't bother
Poorly rendered, annoying nag screen
kevmaloneDecember 21, 2008
Pros
Well done on the moving train parts
Cons
Rendering is blocky, no long distance views (all close-ups) Nag screen appears after a couple of minutes and obscures the center 30% of the display.
Summary
Average, and Pricey!

Pros
Nice, I enjoyed watching.
Cons
Very hard to shut down...doesn't seem to be completely compatible my puter. Too expensive. I would expect much more graphic for the money!
Summary
If you are a Train fanatic...you can't live without it. If you like trains...it is too expensive and doesn't work great. If you are looking only for an interesting screen saver....forgettaboutit!

Cons

Summary

Very realistic, colourful, beautiful scenery.

Pros
Realistic train workings, great, vivid colours. The background (photography?) is of a beautiful mountain landscape, very lovely. I love just watching it when I don't use the computer.
Cons
The windows aren't see-through, which makes it not as realistic. Everything repeats a little too soon, but is still great. Since it is supposedly a coal fired engine, there should be coal or wood in the 'tender' car behind the engine.
Summary
All in all, I am extremely happy with this screen saver. It is fun to watch, very cute and quite realistic. The colours of the train itself are vivid, without being tacky. The wheels appear to really be turning, and the pistons are very realistic, as is the smoke coming from the chimney. It would be nice if there was sound to it, too, that you could choose to turn on or off (or down). I do recommend this screensaver to anyone who likes something wintery and whimsical, and enjoys watching trains.
