Share and sync folders across multiple computers (was FolderShare).Keep important files at your fingertips, whether you are at work or home. All file changes are automatically synchronized between linked computers so you are always accessing the latest information. FolderShare frees you from the hassles of emailing documents, loading files onto removable storage devices, or burning CD/DVDs to stay in sync. Share photos and files with friends, collaborate with colleagues, or keep your computers in sync through FolderShare's private, secure network. Then every time you update the shared files, FolderShare will update your friends' or colleagues' hard drives instantly.
Runs in background and is non intrusive. Files are kept in sync nicely.
Cons
I haven't found any with this version. The earlier version would occasionally double-copy files.
Summary
I think it does a great job. Thanks, Microsoft, for adding Snow Leopard compatibility.
Won't Sync All My Files

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This could be an amazing product but...
For some reason it's not syncing some of my Illustrator .ai and Photoshop .psd files. And the weirder part is that some files .ai files do sync over. I've tried deleting libraries and starting over and just having a couple files to sync and still nothing. I'm mystified? The support is great as far as them getting back to me the next day for the last 4 days. They have had me try a few different thing and nothing. I'm waiting to hear back from them one more time. Unless they have one more trick then I have to resort to On Demand Syncing. I was using the sync that updates while you work. I'm not interested in using on demand because you have place holders that you download from the other computer you're syncing to. I'd rather updtae as I work and then if I'm on a plane or somewhere with no connection then I'll still have my files and the files will be ready to sync mext time I'm online. The good news is they have emotely access of files from your computer via the web.
Anyway, if anyone has a fix for my problem let me know, I'd love to use this product. It has worked great syncing all my other files.
An iDisk Killer!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Since iDisk became flaky after their "upgrade" last year, I have been looking for a reliable replacement. I use three different macs, desktops at home and at work and a laptop, and I need to keep my data files syncronized. Someone mentioned that Transmit could do this job, but it relies on iDisk and requires scripting. The latest version is supposed to be transparent, but I couldn't fine adequate documentation, so I never got around to testing it.
I then discovered Foldershare, and it appears to be exactly what I'm looking for and more. It doesn't have the arbitrary file limits that iDisk does. Since it doesn't provide any external offsite disk space, there is no need for that. Instead, it limits the number of folders (bandwidth?) that you can sync at any given time. This seems reasonable. If your needs are light, the service is free. Subscriptions for heavier users range up to $99 a year. Again, compared to iDisk, these rates are acceptable.
You can not only sync with other macs, but with Windoze machines and perhaps others. I've used it for a few days, and I marvel at how fast and accurate it is. Finally, you can access any computer connected to your account from the web. Therefore, you can access that file that you left on the other computer while travelling. A very high cool factor!
The only limit I see is that you can't sync folders that are buried too deep FAT. This limits the placement of the sync folder. However, this is not much of a problem considering the benefits.
While I'm certain that many of these features can be done for less by someone fluent in scripting with a good ftp client, this package provides the value for the rest of us who either can't or don't have the time to do it ourselves.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This is an excellent application!! It works just fine on my Mac and meets all my expectations (I use the Free option).
I don;t understand that the version mentioned here is so much behind though... We're at Version 2.6.1 build 6748, (released Aug 25, 2005) now and quite a few versions have been released since 2.3.3b.
