Organize your collection of... everything. WinCatalog 2013 will index the content of all disks you feed it. Hard drives, external storage, CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray's, flash drives and whatever else you throw at it will be organized for quick browsing and indexed for instant searching. Using SQLite as a core engine, WinCatalog 2012 is blazing fast, indexing your stuff as fast as your computer can read the files and searching quicker than you can type.Browse pictures, music, books and videos no matter where they are stored. Even if you have hundreds (or thousands) of CDs, DVDs or Blu-ray's holding terabytes of information, you can conveniently browse and preview everything right from your PC - and without reaching for that particular disc. WinCatalog 2013 will store previews of all pictures it indexes, extract and index information from MP3/ID3 tags and movies, allowing you to locate your favorite song, picture or movie in just moments. The content of Zip, Rar, and 7ziparchives as well as ISO images is also scanned and indexed, allowing you finding files packed within a compressed archive without having to unpack anything.

We've made numerous changes to version 2013 of our popular disk cataloguer. Start-up time was reduced; it now takes just counted seconds to launch WinCatalog 2013 with immediate access to all the indexes. Find information you need in just seconds. The newly added tabbed search allows finding information in the most simple yet very powerful way. Excellent program. Worth the money

Pros
I have tried a number of disc cataloging programs. This is the best one I have come across. It is worth it for me to purchase this program as I have a ton of external hard drives and finally I have some hope of getting them organized. I like a few of the others, but this is the best.

Wish that I could add to what is displayed in main screen of each item.
Summary
Since I have a large software and movie collection, I use it extensively to track those areas.
It's not worth to pay for such a piece of crap !

Pros
There is a free light version, which at least works and is much more useful ! They should tell you, that you are paying for an unfinished, and really lousy Beta-version.
Cons
Takes an endless time to open and even for the easist jobs. Crashes all the time. Before exiting, it does'nt ask to save your work, and much less your settings, which are different each time you start the program. Wastes resources even after shutdown
Summary
To open the program with the content of a few hard disks, takes several minutes. Catalog an hard disk, takes hours, and finally it crashes and you loose your work and time. Searching for a file, usually causes a crash. If you don't remember to save your work befor closing the program, all your work is gone, without even asking you. Saving your work takes again several minutes, and it doesn't save any settings, which appear just at random after the next start. After shutting the program down, it still takes 99% of your CPU time, and you have to close it with the task manager. I have never in my life spent 30 bugs for such a poorly designed software. Totally useless !<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Apr 14, 2009<p/>I would recommend anybody interested in a product like this, instead of wasting his money in this product, buy Advanced File Organizer, from SoftPrime Development, for the same price, which is a program that really works, not like WinCatalog 2009, which is the worst software I have ever paid for.
