Where's My Stuff Personal is a handy organizational tool for those of us plagued by cluttered drives, although getting started each time is a lengthy process. Its basic, uncomplicated GUI is set up in a user-friendly tree format, and the program automatically goes to work scanning and categorizing your hard drive immediately following installation. Though it took a while, the application categorized our files within their respective application types such as finance, Microsoft Office applications, Internet files, multimedia audio files, and graphics files, and it can scan other drives for floppy and CD content as well. The only irksome factor here is that the program requires this lengthy scan each time you start it up. Modifying the categories is easy and you can sort from within each category by size, file type, and oldest to newest. Impressively, the program can zip up files, delete mass groupings of useless files, and log file activity.
