  I spent a whole day figuring out what's wrong with DirectShow. This program just fixed it in a second. Not even sure what it did, but hey it works!!!

  Pros

  Fixed my webcam issue. Not only diagnosed, but it fixed. I have webcam back! (internal webcam in SONY VAIO SVE14116FXB laptop)

  Summary

  I had a missing imaging device in Sony Vaio SVE14116FXB with up to date driver for Windows 7 64bit. It used to work webcam fine. I don't know what point it started missing. Couldn't get it to work even though I contacted SONY tech. I paid more than $100 (they said only half of it and will refund, but never happened BTW), remotely run diagnostic test and the nothing find a problem. So they are recommending send the laptop to their care for $300. Of course I didn't. Finally, I found this Webcam diagnosis soft, installed, and run it. Somehow it found my imaging device and I clicked it to diagnosis. (My PC wasn't showing imaging device in device manager.) It said "video capture source enumeration failed". I googled and found a technical fix using c++ which I have no idea. BUT after I run the program again (try to find if it has the same error or not), I saw my face instead of error message!!! The webcam is back now. I cannot believe what it happened, but I must thank you for Noel Danjou. I even reinstalled the new hard drive due to crashing too many times and webcam hadn't found prior running this soft. I wish I could find this soft before contacting useless SONY VAIO tech. (and I should have read "Right-click a reported issue and click Fix (if available) to actually fix the issue).

  This app verified that my Latitude laptop's webcam was actually working after Dell support, who were mysteriously unfamiliar with the Latitude's webcam, were convinced it wasn't.

  Pros

  so fast fix your driver application less than a minute high recommend. I went to contrl panel, camera and scanner wizard and it would ont pick up the video preview because I had other application installed and it would not preview video so I found this software and it fix the driver problem BOOM less thana minute here instruction. Plug in your webcam and when you lodad up the software it woll list of the driver you currently plug and click on the webcam that is plug into the usb and click n your webcam name and you can previe the video and fix the problem less thana minute go for it. Iam gald I got it.
