For many computer users, a single desktop image can be enough for a machine's lifetime. For others, even constant change is never enough. This application is aimed at the latter group, offering a tool to change the desktop image on a regular basis. Users need only select the image folders. The program offers few options such as transition effects or a calendar feature, but makes up for the lack by using very few system resources when working in the background. The primary interface for managing images feels a bit awkward to us, but we like the ability to change wallpaper instantly using the program's system-tray icon. Computer users who are in the market for a bare-bones way to keep their desktops fresh may want to give this a try, although those seeking more advanced features should look elsewhere.
I used the free version for a couple years. Worked great. Wanted the transition feature, which the free version doesn't have, so bought the pro version. Didn't change pictures correctly from the beginning and although Support staff made a good effort to work with me to find the problem we never found out why it was not changing pictures properly. I ultimately had to go back to the free version.
Works perfectly except for 3 flaws.

Pros
I use this as a WP Slideshow-Chg every 5 sec-12 GB of pics-works great-save to disc-no repeats.
Cons
Runs in backround all the time-conflict with my email prog Mozilla Thunderbird.
Summary
I've used this program for at least a couple years, it used to work better (Updates?). I like the fact that the rate of change is infinitely variable (from 1 sec on up) so you can adjust the slideshow speed to yuor liking. I changed my video card and now the settings (center, tile, etc) don't work, can't get full screen anymore. On reboot it will forget your settings, it's not hard to reset but might be annoying if you turn your computer on and off frequently. As far as the email is concerned if I'm reading an email and the WP changes it takes you right to the top of the email again so if you change your WP as much as I do you have to turn it off (not exit the prog) it would be great if you could automatically suspend the program when you are not on your desktop, that would solve the email conflict too. Losing your settings on reboot (the comment before mine mentions this too) is a relatively recent development also. I've completely removed and reinstalled the program more than once to no avail. So I used to have full screen and it used to retain my settings, now it doesn't. The email conflict has always been there, it doesn't affect my GMail so if I didn't use Thunderbird I'd be OK.. I really miss the full screen, it looked much better and I've tried changing the screen resolution but that doesn't help. In my opinion this is still the best free program I've found to date. It doesn't limit you to 1 change per minute, doesn't repeat and seems to be able to handle an unlimited number of files.
Nice little application if you want to reset it every time you reboot

Pros
Not particularly outstanding, but not all that bad, either.
Cons
If there is a way to have the wallpaper photos remain selected in the application after reboot, I haven't found it. I've had to reselect the directory every time, and that's a pain.
Create your own wallpaper slide show. This program will allow you to program a list of picture files to use as your desktop's wallpaper. These pictures will then be rotated through on a time interval that you assign. The pictures can be rotated in order (sequentially) or randomly. Version 1.0.0.24 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
