Great little app keeps passwords & other valuable data

Pros
This easy to use app provides high security for your passwords and other valuable data. Uses MobileMe to synchronize across multiple Macs. Automatically locks after specified period if left open on your desktop. One-click access to web pages.
Cons
None really
Summary
I have used this app since its earliest versions. I have so many passwords, ID codes, security codes etc. that managing them used to be a massive headache. The other solutions I tried did not have the level of security I wanted. Now all my sensitive data can be kept in one place and accessed from any of my computers.
The later versions have added easier editing facilities and syncing via MobileMe.
Now it's easy to access web-pages. For example, for bank accounts I use a single click to pickup the logon ID to my clipboard and then a further single click launches my web browser and the logon page. I then use the key combination cmd-V (paste) to paste my ID into the browser and type my password. Quick and easy for someone who has bank accounts in four different countries - each with their own different ideas about security.
It's the one truly indispensable app on my computer and I use it several times a day.
Works perfectly

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I wanted a secure area to keep notes and passwords and such. This is exactly what I needed. Love the interface. Uncluttered. Other products just have too many features and distractions. This is simple and elegant. I even added some icons to my won categories and built areas to store server credentials. This is just wonderful. Not a hiccup. I reconfigured my machine and with MobileMe all my passwords came back like magic (it duplicated it's own "Wallet" entry in the serial number area for some reason).
The only thing that could be better is if I could make it so that clicking an IP address would not open a browser. I want to click on an IP to copy it so I can paste in the various apps I use (like MySQL database management tools or RDP apps).
Love this. I use it multiple times every day.
BTW I own 1Password too, which is nice, but WAY too complex for my needs, and the way it messes with the browsers and OS kinda turned me off.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Unfortunately, the primary feature I needed, sync with my iDisk (and thus my iPhone) does NOT work.
Entering my iDisk username and passoword only results in an unhelpful error message:
"Validation Failed. Connection failed. (HTTP 403)"
All my MobileMe syncs (address, calendar, bookmarks) and iDisk mirror are working just fine, thank you. Just not Wallet.
If sync is ever made to function, I'd give this 4 stars. As it is, 1 star is a strech.
Awesome Job with this upgrade

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have been using Wallet for a couple years and have tried nearly every utility of its kind. Wallet has always been the best and version 3 only confirms my belief.

For me the best new feature is being able to sync Wallet 3.0 with Wallet for the iPhone application. There are many other great new features such as being able to attach a file to an entry, customize fields, autofill, searching and AES Encryption. These are the features that make Wallet the Best of its kind.

If keeping your passwords, serial numbers, credit card info, banking info and Internet logins are important to you then do yourself a favor and try Wallet, you won't be disappointed.
Was good... now crashes all the time!!!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
When I started using Wallet previously with earlier versions it was awesome. Since 2.7 it crashes constantly. After reloading and reloading, uninstalling and reinstalling, still it crashes constantly, WITH NO REPLY from Waterfall software support. Rediculous. It isn't the cost of the program I'm bummed about, but all the sensitive information in the program. They don't reply to email... I would skip this if you can.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I upgraded to the new version, and it changed my password. Now I'm locked out of all the information I've been storing in Wallet for a year. I emailed customer service a few times to ask for help, but no one ever responds. There are a lot of programs like this for the Mac, so I'd recommend that someone looking for a program like this pick one other than Wallet.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Pretty good. I moved from SplashID! to wallet thanks to MacHeist. SplashID!'s interface was getting old but that of Wallet is pretty slick.
The use is very intuitive and (so far) I didn't have to face the "password" issue mentioned in the other posts.
There is just a tiny problem when importing data, if the imported values have more fields than the current database allows the extra values are floating around and you need to fiddle with "edit", "lock", and add and remove fields until you succeed to move the extra bits around.

All of a sudden I can not log into my password wallet tells me my passwords is wrong. I have never changed my password. No response from help on this issue. My backup will not import as well bad password is what I get when I try to import it. I use a very specific pass phrase and I have not changed it from the time I purchased this software. And my backup was from the current version not version 1. I did test my backup after I set it up and it worked then but now nothing.
Not worth the money.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
It looked as though this application would be better than MacVault, an app that I had bought and been left without support on as the developer seems to have gone away.
The app is really crippled in shareware mode (that should have told me to avoid it) but like a fool I went ahead and registered it.
For all its shiny interface it is lacking under the cover. No global search is the most obvious drawback, but what may not be so obvious is the poor import filters that have left half of the information behind.
Without doubt the first bad piece of shareware I have registered in a long time. Avoid it and use something else like a text file or spreadsheet and an app like Puzzle Palace or something similar.
