Create and print checks from QuickBooks, Quicken, and Peachtree using blank check paper.

Create and print complete checks from VersaCheck Presto or directly from your QuickBooks, Quicken and Sage Accounting programs using inexpensive blank check paper. Print from multiple bank accounts using one check stock. One time installation and setup of the VersaCheck Presto software is quick, easy, and works with any printer. This version is free to try and will print 'Void' on your checks. When asked for a Validation Code during installation simply click Cancel and then open the program icon from your desktop. To remove 'Void' from your checks follow the automated instructions to Validate your Account and purchase a Validation Print Code. Validation Print Codes are included free inside VersaCheck Security Check Refill packs which available at select retailers and online at versacheck.com.

I bought 2 products from them, never opened them, and returned them immediately and they NOT ONLY GAVE ME ONLY 60% OF MY REFUND PER PRODUCT, I HAD TO PAY TO SHIP THEM BACK. I never even opened the original box that was sent to me and of about 150 dollars spent I only got 73 back.
Summary
Constant Charges, Weeks of Delivery times, and Thieving Return policy. SCAM ALERT, DO NOT BUY.

After purchasing check paper, I then was forced to pay for each check I wanted to print and then a separate charge to validate my bank accounts at $20 per account I wanted to use for a reoccurring charge! In the end its more then buying checks at a bank or from a company that prints them for you... So Toner, check paper, a charge to print checks, and a reoccurring charge to validate bank accounts.. OH! and no support phone numbers emails.. just a message system with auto replies..
Free with Purchase of paper - BUT - not easy

It did print my blank checks, 30 pages of them. I've used previous versions for many years. I can use the checks to print from Quick Books.
Cons
When running it tries repeatedly to get me to validate. I did try to validate, but it was going to cost me $19.99. It didn't feel right. So I canceled out of that. Each time the validate pop up came up, I just clicked cancel. I was able to print my checks, without the void across them. I printed 30 pages of them so I don't have to do it again ant time soon!
Summary
I had a code from the purchase of check paper. I was able to make it work. I am looking for an alternative that is less then $50.00.

This is NOT a free check printing software. I own 500 check blanks from Versacheck that I had bought several years ago and hadn't used. The software I have was for an old Windows OS. I just needed the update! This was advertised as free but you have to purchase paper to get a code to use it. Very deceptive.
Summary
If you don't want to waste your time, don't bother downloading this.

Pros
We are printing Check 21 Compliant Business Checks; this software works great with Quicken and it suits our needs.
Cons
This is a free version of VersaCheck which does not have all of the features of VersaCheck Gold, however for our needs, Presto fits the bill.

Pros
Seamlessly integrates with Quickbooks and my checks are coming out beautifully. Great for anyone wishing to save money on personal and business checks.
Cons
Validation codes are required, but VersaCheck paper aligns the best with QuickBooks anyway so it's not really an issue.

Our experience with VersaCheck X1 software is very positive. It is in the #1 spot at Top 10 Software reviews and by far the most capable, feature rich and cost saving finance management and check automation system in its class. Some users including our organization were a little surprised about a new and industry unique validation feature to prove bank account control before we were able to print checks using the software. We did some research and learned that this is due to an FTC demand. Unfortunately the FTC has not applied similar standards to other makers of check writing software, which is why fraud is still popular and successful for fraudsters. In any event we feel protected when writing checks using VersaCheck and make it a habit to watch out for the DNA Secure mark on our cancelled checks. This mark and special security patterns in the check background image appears on all checks we authorize. This way we can separate authorized from non-authorized checks.
Cons
I am definitely concerned about providing banking information for validation purposes, which is FTC compelled, but am simultaneously relieved that the information cannot be used to print fraudulent checks against our accounts - as long as we make it a habit to only accept checks with DNA secure features. I did some research and discovered that the validation server is located in western Europe, where privacy rules are strict and personal information is heavily protected, even from government access.
Summary
Still the best Check Writing Software.

This software is downloadable for free and offers many of the features of VersaCheck Gold. I was going to upgrade to the newest version of VersCheck Gold but I found this free software which is actually all I need to print my checks.

Extremely inexpensive. Even with the purchase of validation codes, this software provides the most inexpensive method for designing and printing custom checks in full color.
Cons
Having to create a G-Validate account. Nevertheless, it is free of charge.
