• Works but too sensitive to random mouse movements

  It turns off the display after double-clicking its icon.

  Cons

  The display turns on if you even breathe on the mouse. I stood up after double-clicking, and the display came on! In other words, mere vibration was enough to trigger the display! It should require a click of the mouse before re-activating the display. I would also want the password to be re-entered.

  Summary

  I needed something to turn off the display, because the computer's "sleep" function sometimes keeps the fan running at random times, which is annoying when I'm trying to sleep, myself (I don't want to put it in "hibernate," even though it would turn off the fan), and, sometimes, the computer doesn't do anything after I put it to "sleep," no matter what key I press or mouse click/movement I make. And, I want the additional and optional protection of entering a password to turn the display back on, though, in essence, that would be no better than the computer's "sleep" function. Because of the overly sensitive mouse issue, this program is of no use to me.

• Perfect little app

  Pros

  This little app does exactly what I wanted, and how I wanted. I just bought an All-In-One computer. The only way to turn off the screen without turning off the computer in Windows 10 was to go into the Control Panel - Power Options and change the "Turn off display" option to 1 minute (the minimum) and wait a minute. This app just works perfectly allowing me to turn off the display immediately. Then it wakes up normally with any keyboard or mouse movement. It even has a System Tray option which works perfect. Before I had found this, I had scowered the computer and Windows documentation, and even called the manufacturer tech support, and nothing. Thanks for this.
