TrIDNet is an utility designed to identify file types from their binary signatures. While there are similar utilities with hard-coded rules, TrIDNet has no such rules. Instead, it is extensible and can be trained to recognize new formats.

Useful and accurate, if you have a file without extension or you're not sure about the real content, this tool is great

The definition load is a bit slow, but it's done only once at every program start
