A reasonable choice for tablet devices and a decent aid for the mobility-impaired, Touch-It Virtual Keyboard displays a 102-key keyboard that docks or floats on your desktop. Clicking the onscreen keys produces the same effect as typing on an actual keyboard. Usability is improved with settings for modifying keyboard transparency, position, key sizes, color, font, and key group color display. You can't assign function keys, but you can configure macros. The meager help file, unfortunately, is only available online. Touch-It would be very useful for keyboardless touch-screen installations, but other users will find it easy to install and operate. The 15-day trial is sufficient to test this application.

It features like Ctrl+Alt+Del or task switching are supported, keyboard is also accessible on the logon screen, includes a designer tool to fully customize the look and feel of the existing layouts or to create one from scratch, and standard alphanumeric keys. It has some special buttons to interact with third applications using Windows messages, COM interface or library callback. You can then turn the keyboard into a real control panel.
