Easy to configure keys

- The wizard to configure the RSA keys for SFTP is very easy to use. The tool points to teh correct directory to place the public key in. I was able to easily connect using the private key from a separate client program.
- Cons
- It required me to enter a passphrase for the private key. That should not be a must.

- admin interface lets you set policies at different levels such as by user or group. the interface is pretty easy to understand. server has been running for 3 months with no problems. seems stable.

- We're using this for off-site backup of our SBS 2003 Server. Transfer are scheduled on the client using FTP Voyager for midnight to the Titan FTP Server hosted at another location. So far its proved very stable and considering what we asked it to do, easy to setup. Logging is realtime if you look in the right place, previous user who commented on this must have missed it.

- Mode Z support is broken as of 1/13/06 with a fix expected in about 2 weeks. Not a big deal at all, in fact its the only 'con' I can think of. Tech support answered my email about this intelligently within 35 minutes. Exceptional! Thanks Justin!

Good product, but a little misleading

- Very easy to setup and use. Pro and Enterprise versions allow for public keys to be imported for each of the users that will be ftp'ing in. Can restrict users to SFTP only. Logging seems to be pretty good as well.
- Cons
- I am evaluating FTP Server Software for a client. I was all set to recommend this solution because it has the SSL and SFTP that we need. A quick check on pricing showed that the "cheap" verision is. $60 does not get SFTP or SSL - that's the $300 version. Seems like a pretty good package, but the description here should be more upfront about the cost of various capabilities. I would give it 4.5 stars as a package, but the misleading advertising makes me not recommend the company: 3 stars.
