Though this program features several parental-control options for managing computer use, its numerous options may be overwhelming. Time Boss runs in stealth mode and uses a functional but crowded interface. With it, you can add and delete user accounts, define time limits and ranges, and add bonus time for any user's computer and Internet usage. You can restrict and allow folders, drives, programs, and Web sites, and set Time Boss to capture screenshots. An event log is kept to view the screenshots and statistics regarding time usage. The program is password-protected and can't be uninstalled or disabled via the Task Manager. It even blocks older, savvier kids from tampering with your machine's date and time. Its wealth of features may initially appear confusing, but once you get going you'll see that Time Boss is well worth a try.
What’s new in version 3.08
Version 3.08 added the possibility to disable Internet Explorer in Windows 8 Metro mode.
I've 3 kids at home in different age groups but all sharing the same computer.
Time Boss helped me create separate accounts with separate restrictions and it all works seamlessly without any kinds of issues.
I also love the fact that I can set time limits using my Android mobile.
I now own the PRO version :).
Cons
Can't install it on my Mac because its not supported
Summary
Good parental control

Pros
My elder son is clever enough to disable the build-in Windows 10 control (he has admin rights), so I use Time Boss.
It allows me not to just block, but also to reduce access to some websites.
The event log and the day-usage diagram is very helpful
Cons
May be the best way is to use the Pro version....
It has remote control from Android mobile

DO NOT BUY IF YOU LIKE HAVING A HAPPY KID
cryptologicalMystic
Pros
Absolutely none.
Cons
It doesn't just lock you out when you run out of time, no, it LOGS YOU COMPLETELY OUT! I lost CSS code that I'd been working on for TWO HOURS because of this program! Trust me, this is not the way to keep people off the computer, it will only get people mad at you!
Summary
If you're like me and have been stuck with this stupidity, I suggest putting a keylogger on yourself and then doing something that will require your parent to type the password in; either that or getting them to use the 'limits time on browsers' option instead of the 'limits time on computer as a whole' option. The latter is the method you should probably use.
Bought after trial session
ystella
Pros
The event log and screenshot feature is good.
This will be fantastic if it works.
Advertised as hack proof - but not so!
Cons
My son managed to hack it after I bought the licensed product.
Response from support was slow and unhelpful in solving the problem after I sent them the log file.
They commented that the product was not properly registered which was not true. Time Boss shut down its service after repeatedly signing on and off windows (wins 8). To restart TB, I have to key in the registration number, set the parameters again. This is very frustrating.
Summary
No use. Don't buy if you have challenging kids like mine.
Pro version is very useful

Pros
My son has admin rights on PC and
TB Pro limits it by time without problem...
I can see events log on son's PC directly
from my laptop...
Cons
No internet filter for FF.

Best parental time/web control software available
dchapiro
Pros
Allows fine grain control to all the resources of the computer, including DVD drive, which software can be used and when, web access, etc. It's easy to set up and configure, and can't be bypassed by crafty kids.
Cons
None. Even their customer support is excellent.
Summary
I wish I had found it when my kids were younger. It's much better and robust than any of the other products in the market (and I've tried many!), but for some reason it's not well known.
Disclaimer: I have no relationship with Nicekit or Time Boss, and I found them only because I kept trying other packages after my son kept managing to defeat them... BTW, It seems most other packages focus on controlling the websites a kid visits, rather than providing a comprehensive solution.
Highly technical and overwhelming cluttered interface

I've been evaluating various parental control software, and found that Time Boss is exactly what I want.
It really is a great product!
stasdan008
Pros
From starting the program, I created five profiles, adapted them to each user, and closed the program. In practice, the logs and screenshots tools are intuitive, making it convenient to review each user's events.
Cons
Does work with Windows 7?
Summary
Did not provide admin rights. Unable to uninstall.
amserrano
Pros
No opportunity provided to assess it's effectiveness.
Cons
Installed trial version on son's PC. Upon install, it took over and provided only 45 minutes. Not clear what program was set to do. Admin rights were denied. No control given. Save a headache, try KidsWatch instead. It has tech phone support.
Control the start of programs, folders, disks, games, or Internet.Universal classic parental control software performing a range of functions from setting time limits for working on the PC to collecting usage statistics, displaying remaining time and managing lists of forbidden and allowed programs and sites. With Time Boss you can be sure your children do not spend too much time playing games, and your employees aren't busy with activities, which are not related to their work.
