Tarantula is a Wysiwyg Web authoring tool that offers pixel-level layout control without using images. It uses tables or CSS positioning. Tarantula offers graphics features, site upload, a project manager, MAPI, multiple resolution development, forms, a table editor, and an image mapper. It features built-in creation, optimization, and conversion of BMP, PCX, TGA, GIF, and JPEG files, and imports TXT, HTM, DBF, RTF, and DOC files. A scripting tool lets you create effects such as rollovers. Version 1.99 includes a built-in SMTP mailer that can mail pages with embedded images, and read mailing lists from files.

Version 1.99b now installs on Windows XP.
