• Doesn't Install on OS X v. 10.6.7

  I've had System 47 running on my PC just fine and loved it.

  Cons

  Will not install successfully on my new MacBook Pro with OS X v. 10.6.7. It would have been very nice to see it on my new Mac.

  Summary

  I recently made the switch from PC to Mac after about 30-something years on PC's. I wish System 47 was still supported with new releases that would run on current-version operating systems. I loved seeing it run on my PC. It even used dual monitors with a different LCARS screen running on each at the same time. Wish they would re-introduce System 47 as a commercial product with full support. I'd buy it in a heartbeat!! :-)

• Best Screen Saver in Years

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Back in the Day of Windows 3.1 I had a Star Trek Screensaver that I loved, and was the last time I ever used one. That is until now. This is the best screensaver I've used in almost 12 years now. And better yet, it's free.

This is NOT shareware; the documentation makes it very clear that it's freeware, and that it always will be. And a very nice screensaver it is too, with excellent quality graphics and lots of variety. Great for Star Trek fans.

Support docs lack some info, but there really isn't that much to add so I go neutral on that. Features, all I ask is that the selection for what to use in the saver is more than all or one of them Use check boxes, instead of a selector. Quality, very good, I haven't run into any problems at all. It says that it is Shareware on VT, but as far as I know it is free. The Docs say nothing on this. So I will give it 4/5 for Price.
