Perhaps if it actually worked....

- Good advertising and promotion. Just maybe the software does work for someone with some computer configuration.

- Company offers a video test call site, but ignores requests to use it. Software recorded no video and poor quality audio throughout an interview. Tech support totally unresponsive. Vague instructions suggest a sequence for loading software and then wait periods for SuperTinTin to recognize video/audio streams before recording. (Good luck with that!) Refund request has been treated like support requests: crickets.

- The software claims to do is precisely what I wanted: record skype video and audio with video side by side or p-in-p. If it worked, I'd be delighted. I happily landed with a screen capture program for less money that works flawlessly for video and audio.

- It just doesn't work. Crashes Skype; will not capture. Run it and sit in a call for 10 seconds - boom. Crash. Email support and get no response. Program hasn't been updated since 2013. You should consider this a dead program.

Absolute Garbage Trash Useless Scam

- I guess the best part about this is that I wasted my money on a crappy software (oh wait, that's a con, too).

- The software does not record the audio aspect of the Skype calls. Or, better yet, it records only BIT AND PIECES. lol. What a piece of trash. You have half the audio, while the other half is chewn up and destroyed. The people who developed this software are clearly inept.

- It records the streams while adding little overhead to everything else going on. (And seeing as my computer is from 2009, I appreciate that.) Easy to use/set up

- While they say there's no quality degradation, they're wrong. The recorded videos definitely do not look as good as the live stream. Also, what's this "4:3 720p" junk in recording options? It's a 4:3 video file with a 720p video shoved inside it that's both letterboxed AND columnboxed. That's not 720p guys, not even close. What this boils down to is that there's no way record HD video with Supertintin, so again they lie in their advertising materials. Also, I had a problem where Supertintin would only record the local stream. I would set it to Remote only, it'd record the local stream. Set it to record both local and remote, it recorded the local stream twice. Uninstalling and reinstalling did not fix the problem. For unrelated reasons, I did a reinstallation of my OS recently. That's the only thing that fixed the problem.

- It usually works all right, but has many problems. I'm hoping the "unable to record remote stream" problem was a one time thing only. (Since the entire OS on my computer was breaking down at that time, unless it happens again, I'm going to chalk it up to an OS problem affecting Supertintin.) Once in a while it also fails to detect any streams and can't record the Skype session at all, but that's fairly rare and doesn't happen much. I know all I've done is bitch about it this review, but if you just want a video record of your Skype call, it works very well. I just wish they'd actually implement a proper 16:9 720p recording option instead of this 4:3 weirdness.
Doesn't Work as Advertised - NO Customer Service

- The company advertises that the product works with Windows8. It will install but will never work. The software never recognized a video stream. I tried filling out the support web form, I tried tweeting, and I tried email. I finally received one email message from support asking me if I'm using an older version of Skype, because the software isn't compatible with the newest version. I found the older version online and installed it, but SuperTinTin still doesn't work. And... still have never heard back from "support." This was a complete waste of money, and it looks like I'll have to contact my bank for a charge back.
It does the job right with little preparatory hassle

- No choppiness in the recorded video or audio, easy to install, configure & operate, reliable. Compared to several other alternatives I tried and was disappointed in one way or the other this one was a relief to find.

- We need to be able to record video & audio for both sides of the Skype session. Remarkably, Skype itself doesn't have this ability. While several other utilities provide this ability the ones I tried had serious shortcomings (especially video that was too choppy). Then I tried Supertintin (why the name?) and found it did what I needed and did it well. It's $30 per copy so we'll be putting Skype on fewer PCs than expected, but we'll adjust. These recordings will need to hold up in courts of law so quality and reliability of recording is necessary.
