  Does what I want to do!

  Initially took time to get hands on, but as I got used to it, It now looks simple.

  Summary

  With SuperSync, music has become so hassle free to manage. Now, I can retrieve a song from a laptop, play or download a song from my computer at home, by sitting at the office, upload a new album while travelling, or back-up a complete music library on a new computer or network drive. I can visually compare two music libraries locally or over the net and see what music is located in each library. Simply select the tracks in case need to copy from one library to the other, and click Synchronize to begin one or two-way file synchronization. I use SuperSync to keep the tunes between my desktop and laptops in sync. Am happy that all my music, movies, and playlists can be moved to all the computers I keep music on. I also use it to sync music between my various computers to create a master library.

• Not very stable

  The idea is great...

  Cons

  The product seams to have problems. With some computers it will both send and receive files. With other's it will only receive. The support is close to non-existing. If one opens a ticket there will be no notificate (email) with a ticket number, and possibly no communication. Only help fo a "PAYING CUSTOMER" is the FAQ's which only deal with the most simple things.

  Summary

  The price is absolutely right, it's just sad that the product is very flaky and so on and off in the way it works.

• A real Test

  Pros

  It seemed to do an extensive list of operations that were appealing. The price is right.

  Cons

  I really wanted to LOVE this product but it wasn't easy. I couldn't get it to work despite several times of setting up the local and remote libraries. Synchs never actually worked despite indication from the software that they were completed.

  Summary

  Obviously others have been successful with the program. Perhaps I have missed some steps but after trying it for about a hour, I thought, even if I am not tech savvy this is WAY too long to figure the program out and get a positive result.

  Overly complicated. Unintuitive interface. Doesn't seem to do what I want and I can't figure out why.

  Summary

  Potential users need to realize that this software does not connect with a central SuperSync server. It's your responsibility to set up individual servers on each computer. You'll have to set up port forwarding on your routers. If you're trying to sync with a computer at work, good luck try to get your network admin let you set up port forwarding. THEN you have to figure out how to get basic syncing set up. I wish this software had buttons for simple functions like "download any songs you don't have from the remote server" or "download all missing ratings from server". I have all my music files in one big folder (no subfolders) on bother servers. But syncing creates subfolders even though I have the preferences set to "use uploaders path". Can't figure out why.

  Summary

  My desktop died so I pulled the hard drive and connected it to my laptop to *merge* my two iTunes libraries. It then linked all my songs to the hard drive from the laptop, I tried again, I want the songs MOVED not just linked, same thing - runs for hours and nothing MOVED. So I email support since I PAID for this and it should work. No response for days. I follow the instructions VERY carefully, nothing. So I move the files by hand. Then run supersync to at least fix the library, it deletes the song I just moved. What a waste of time and money. I'm using a PC and screen shots are all for MAC so maybe PC version does not work.

  Pros

  Compare and merge any two music libraries.. be they on a Mac, PC, iPod, iPhone, or hard drive. Back up or retrieve music/videos/playlists from your iPods and iPhones directly into another music library. Plus access your music over the net.

  Cons

  Free trial, lots of features, easy to use... what's not to like?! Well, the interface could look a little nicer.

  Summary

  If you have iTunes content on multiple macs, windows or Apple mobile devices, you need SuperSync to keep your music organized.

• Best product on the market for merging music libraries

  Pros

  Perfect for iPod/iTunes users with multiple machines and iPods. Has web/iPhone interface for accessing your library over the net. Lets you merge drives full of music into your existing library. Helps find dups, mismatched tags, missing tracks, etc.

  Cons

  No support for iPhone/iPod Touch synching (thanks to Apple). But iPods work well!

  Summary

  SuperSync lets you merge two iTunes libraries at a time. SuperSync makes it easy to tell what is synchronized or in one library or the other by using color codes. SuperSync makes it easy to move music, videos, and playlists from one machine to another. Also helps sync meta data like play counts and ratings.
