SuperCleanerz for Windows

SuperCleanerZ is a free tool that cleans your browser caches and Windows Temp files, on demand or automatically, and offers to boost your Windows and Internet performance. For the most part, SuperCleanerZ is so basic and foolproof that anyone can use it to clean their tracks. It removes browsing and search histories, Web sites visited, personal and session data, and other private and potentially-sensitive information. SuperCleanerZ runs in Windows versions XP to 8.

The only glitch we encountered when installing SuperCleanerZ was a EULA in Italian; everything else was in English, and the installer didn't try to sneak any other programs past us. SuperCleanerZ has an extremely basic interface: Buttons labeled "Clean Cache," "Clean Temp Files," "Other Function," and "Tools" (plus a Donate link). The automatic cleaning function is enabled by default; buttons let us choose cleaning intervals of 10, 20, or 30 minutes or one hour. We always like to check out the settings and options before we run a new cleaner, but SuperCleanerZ's options are limited to interface language and toggling Auto-Cleaning on or off.

Pressing "Clean Cache" let us empty the caches of five different browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari, and IE, plus Adobe Flash Player's cache; pressing "Clean Temp Files" emptied the Windows Temp folder. Cleaning includes a "please wait" pop-up, and the whole process is so easy that we're guessing the most inexperienced user can handle it. We pressed "Other Function" to check out the Internet Booster and Windows Booster. SuperCleanerZ provides no information about what they do to your system, though we gather that the Windows Booster makes changes to the Registry. We barge in where others fear to tread, so we ran both these tools, but to little apparent effect, good or bad. Without more information about what they do, we can't recommend them. But you can play it safe and stick with SuperCleanerZ's super-easy cache cleaning.
