I have an old Cassiopeia E100, and when I installed from another site, it told me it had expired and there was a new version. So I went to the site and downloaded the new version, and guess what? It told me the same thing. Bah!

Cons
Downloaded the trial version, but was told to upgrade. This didn't work and could not register it. Looks like it could be a good product, but it looks as though ThumbsupSoftware needs some addtional programming help.

I wanted the "Free to try" offer. After downloading it I was told the product needed updating. So I went to the web site tried to download a more recent version, but was directed back to the same download.com site again. After spending way too much time trying to find a way to activate the programme, I decided it looked good enough to buy. I tried several times to buy the product, but their bank was too busy to accept my credit card payment. I even tried the alternative purchase link...but that page wasn't available. The product looks really good. Just wish I could buyt it!

I downloaded the product for the first time and when I went to use it, I was told this trial version was already expired. Then it would not uninstall completely. I had to hard reset my device to remove it from the remove programs wizard after manually removing all the files I could find. There are still two files on my device that the remove wizard said to manually remove (starnls.dll & startap.cpl)however they are not to be found anywhere. The remove wizard says they are in the windows dir but they are not! Luckily I backed up my device prior to installing this P.O.S.!

I own a Nino 300 w/CE 2.0...I've tried many programs in which some crashed my palmPC...but this program improved it ten fold and easy to use if you are an experienced windows user...looks great and function awesomely....would highly recommend it...

StarTap, one of our favorite enhancements for Windows CE devices, helps your palmtop PC look and feel like a desktop computer. You can create shortcuts to files, arrange them in folders on a desktop with wallpaper, switch between running applications, and browse through files on your disks. You can also create new shortcuts and folders on the desktop and organize them with drag-and-drop functionality. In addition, StarTap includes features such as the Recycle Bin, Control Panel, and Windows Explorer. StarTap has a built-in image viewer that can be accessed by double-tapping a bitmap file; it also offers a battery minder, a screen capture function, and a system info function. StarTap is designed to be finger friendly, allowing you to launch, exit, and switch among programs using your finger instead of the stylus.

Newer features include a Taskbar replacement that's much closer to the Windows 98 Taskbar look, as well as a Start menu and keyboard buttons, an application tray for frequently accessed shortcuts, a set of task buttons to activate currently running tasks, and a system tray. It also includes an improved, full-screen, zoom-and-pan Color Viewer designed to make 256-color machines look like Truecolor, and a RegEdit function.
