This easy-to-use database application effectively organizes and tracks your stamp collection, although it lacks a search feature. Stamps2Go Assistant's utilitarian interface is a snap to understand. Its drop-down menus--including country, listing type, category, and grade--contain preloaded items to get you started. We're impressed by the ease with which we could add, update, or delete entries such as Scott number, issue, value, selling price, and images.

If you're planning to sell your stamps, the program can synchronize and upload your stamp listings to the publisher's Web site. Stamps2Go Assistant, unfortunately, lacks a search feature, which is handy for large databases. Also, you won't be overly impressed by its simplistic report capabilities. Drawbacks aside, professional philatelists may find Stamps2Go Assistant somewhat basic for their tastes, but beginning stamp collectors will definitely like what this freeware puts on the table.
