SpaceMan 99 is a file management tool that lets users maximize their disk space. The program's simple layout and common-sense features make it effective and easy to use.

The program's interface is plain and looks a lot like Windows Explorer. The contents of the user's system are displayed in four panes: one shows folders, one shows files within the selected folder, one shows the names of duplicate files, and one shows the location of duplicate files. Users can run a scan of a given folder to determine how much space is being used and can then have the program mark duplicate files. Users are given the opportunity to review duplicates and can unmark them as needed; finally, users can have the program delete the remaining marked duplicates. The danger of deleting duplicates, of course, is that if you don't know what you're doing, you could make a serious mistake. SpaceMan 99 does offer some protection in the form of an option that protects Windows operating system files; this can be disabled, but the built-in Help file recommends against it. The program is not going to evaluate the importance of a file for you, so you'll need to use discretion when deleting things. That said, the program provides an effective and intuitive way of managing files for users who can tell the difference between useless and critical files.
