The Smart Audio Monitor (SAM) is a multi-purpose tool designed to automatically capture and record audio. Using SAM is easy. Just set the desired audio trigger (threshold) level and click the start button. When the threshold level is exceeded, the recorder function is automatically activated for a pre-set time period. The recorder stores audio to file(s) on your computer's hard disk for later playback. Uses include: security, research, education, robotics, and industrial control. Do you snore or grind your teeth (bruxism) during the night? SAM can monitor your sleeping and record these sounds so you can examine them later. Even configure a predetermined sound (.wav) to awaken you if desired. Whether in the home, school, office, etc., SAM has a variety of possible uses and is ideally suited for any application where autonomous audio monitoring is required.
