Sir AdGuard effectively blocks some advertisements and malicious programs while you surf the Internet, but it also blocks some safe and trusted sites.

The small, bare-bones interface contains a single button for scanning your computer for threats. During system scans, Sir AdGuard connects to the publisher to download updates, but we found the process slowed our test computers. The program blocked most advertisement banners and images from harmful sites, but some desirable Web sites also are blocked.

Unlike many similar utilities, Sir AdGuard doesn't allow users to construct lists of allowable and disallowed ad sites. It will be difficult for most users to accurately gauge Sir AdGuard's effectiveness during the short three-day trial. Without the ability to construct protected sites or remove sites from being blocked, we can't recommend this utility. There are many more flexible utilities in this class.

No customization, no making lists of safe sites, which is important when safe items, or advertising material you want to see is blocked.
Summary
If you have Fire Fox, you're better of using something like Ad Block Plus, which is free, allows customization and is totally free of charge. Amazed people try and charge for these things with so many freeware programs available that are much better to begin with. My suggestion avoid using Sir AdGuard, to me this product is a fail and I consider the Cnet review over generous with it's score, as if it bocks desired content and charges for what you can aquire for free then it's a broken program in my eyes and not deserving of any score.
