Once again Animation Codec wins the day.. <p> YMMV: I'm working primarily with computer generated animations, it might be a bit different for camera footage. If you're an animator, this probably isn't the most important thing to be spending your money on.

If your life is using 100% DV codec and you aren't doing animation or compositing.... then this codec is not for you. Otherwise... if you are a media professional who works with animation and compositing and need a lossless solution, smaller file sizes and 10-bit support... this baby is DEFINITELY for you.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Come on... at an average of 1-2 new versions each week, and no information given as to what the changes are nor what incompatibilities exist between versions, who's gonna want to be bothered with this codec? For a stable codec, I suggest Apple/Pixar's Pixlette codec with any 1GHz or faster machine (required). Comes free with OS 10.3.

Just last week I changed all our our animation codec animations and footage elements to this codec.... saved over 120GB on one array alone! The updates are less 'bug' fixes and a lot more feature additions. Haven't had one problem with this codec since day one of usage.
