Simply place this file on your Web site to provide full search facilities for your visitors. Comes with added support for Windows XP Service Pack 2, added XP interface style support, and new option to export list of un-indexed links. The application cannot index more than 6 pages, generate unencrypted JavaScript, or process command line options when in Evaluation Mode.

A flawed search concept with no support.

Pros
Good choice of configuration options, easy to follow interface.
Cons
No support, the Ignored Tags setting does not recognise DIVs, does not scale well, huge JavaScript file which can take a long time to load.
Summary
Using JavaScript as a client-side search solution is a flawed method for all but the smallest of websites with a few pages to index. Even reducing the size of the index can still create a large JavaScript file which can take ages to load. If your website contains large PDF files forget this product and look for a server side search based on PHP. Despite their website saying that email support is available, it isn't. There's no company details, phone number (other than an ordering phone number) or address on their website and I doubt very much the list of clients that they nominate. They have the nerve to write in a receipt email for the purchase of Search Maker Pro that I am a 'valued customer'... but that's only because they want me to buy another product! Save your money.
Basic search engine; great for tight budgets.

It works within its limitations.
Cons
Will not work if templates have server side instructions (SSI). Generate results page views OK but has errors in the HTML structure that browser will detect and show in lower left corner of window. NO TECHNICAL SUPPORT!

Customizations options don't work. Sloppy authoring. Unattractive output. NO TECH SUPPORT!
Summary
Terrible support. Do not expect a response. Had to modify the output manually everytime I indexed and I still have a question about how to customize the output automatically. Be an expert in Javascript if you use this program because you will not get any help from them. No support number and 5+ emails over 3 days from 3 seperate accounts have gone unanswered. Terrible!
