Seagate Premium File Recovery Software helps users recover files that have been deleted, re-formatted or corrupted because of a virus infection. These data loss situations are logical failures in nature. If the hard disk drive is detected and viewable by device manager in Windows, the files are most likely recoverable with Seagate Premium File Recovery Software.Recoverable file types are bmp,gi, svg, psd, esp, emf, jpg, png, pdf, tiff, pdf, ppt, pptx, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, rtf, outlook, txt, mpp, chm, vsd, mp3, wma, wav, mp4, mov, wmv, 3gp, swf, asf, avi, flv, fla
After running the trial, I saw all of my lost files. I paid the $99 to activate the license and only some basic information was retrieved, less than 1% of what I saw earlier.
Summary
This is a worthless recovery tool. You can find free ones on the net that perform much better. I saw all of my files so I paid the license fee and was able to retrieve less than 1% of what I saw earlier. I paid the $99 because I didn't have time to search and do the work myself. I can't believe how bad this Seagate Recovery software performed. Don't buy this nonsense, you'll just be frustrated and more upset after you paid Seagate $99 for false hopes.
Allot of Potential 2.0.9721
Duftopia
Pros
Runs fast for what it does, Covers allot of file types, Professional interface, GOOD support
Cons
Doesn't play nice with other apps, blows memory away very fast, BETA software still needs cooking, Cannot recover large files 4 gigs+
Summary
Seagate goes without saying as the best Hard Disk Company around (2014) still, they have dropped the ball big time in the past with software and when there DiscWizard went south corrupting an internat 3 TB they made me buy this program.
A Primary reason you should try this program FIRST before many others is Seagate Support, they really try to stand behind programs they make, this policy (if retained) means this program WILL be the best in the market eventually.
It is definitely in Beta class, it cannot exceed the 4 gig limit in file recovery issue, it was obviously designed on a super PC not taking into consideration that many people do not have over 16 gigs of ram, run at 3 ghz, and have a 3rd or 4th gen MB.
Ran the program for 3 days once to see if it would eventually find the 10 gig file lost, definitely does not break that barrier yet.
Cannot scan from sector to sector so it all or nothing, the quick scan makes the program a worth buy at $99, that Seagate tried to extort that from me on OTHER software failings rather than fix 3 tb Discwizard issues was the most disappointing event with Seagate I've had for over 2 decades, very much unlike the company.
BUT as I stated, if there support remains serious and they fix the issues mentioned this product stands to be #1, I would consider buying the next fixed version almost on reputation alone.
Looking foreword to it, but need something now.

Pros
I had a bad external drive with lots of data I could not retrieve. Had "professionals" try to recover and an IT buddy try...no luck. Ran this program it recovered pretty much all I had lost.....glad to pay the $$$ to recover lost data (mostly pics) plus some others. The cost was worth keeping the wife off my back due to all the previously lost pics of the kid etc.
Cons
Summary
Easy to use, recovered files from a FAT32 drive Windows no longer recognized.

Pros
Key points:

Interface easy to figure out.

Preview of what was recoverable before paying.

Recovered the files.

No concerns about spyware or other junk coming in with the download from the Seagate site.
Cons
The price is steep, but much cheaper and quicker than paying a service.

Pros
I gladly paid the price for this reputable maker of hard drives for the most important recovery I've ever encountered. I was an hour away from sending my hard drive to one of those EXPENSIVE recovery labs! Whew! It took a long time, but I was able to recover 100% of the files I needed where other no-name software couldn not. I wasn't prepared to entrust just any shareware to this important task which ends up being more or less an experiment. Seagate recovered my important data with complete integrity and I have complete confidence in this recovery tool.
Cons
It took about 36 hours to scan a 160 GB SATA 2.5" disk drive. On the other hand, it did a COMPLETE scan that showed me every file and detail. Recovery time was not fast either which added another day and a half but I WAS able to recover every single important file lost.

Pros
nothing...
Cons
haven't tried it... still, trying a software that might even not work, so very much costly, while there's tons of free software in the net that really do work... it is a painful saltpeppered price for this. you could check "pc inspector file recovery", "recuva", etc like that. I have tried them, they're free and they work better than most commercial programs i have ever tried.
