• The best remote support software ever!

  Price, flexibility, branding and easy installation. Client installs go great and you can even create temporary sessions!

  Summary

  I currently run an IT Repair and Service company and have done so for the past 8 years. I used to use LogMeIn because, at the time, it was free and offered a great product. Well, all good things must come to an end sometime. LogMeIn is no longer free, even for individual computers. So on the hunt I went for a new software. After looking through the popular options (GoToMyPC, VNC, Webex etc.), I could not find any cost effective software. Then I stumbled across ScreenConnect. Not only did it have the same features of LogMeIn, but they had even more features that they did not such as screen blocking (the user will only see "You company name" remote connected on the screen), but they also have a better file transfer process, user chat system, and a fully customization interface (for those that know how to code websites). Currently I manage over 500 computers remotely spread across over 60 businesses. This software allows me to see all the computers across all accounts, or I can use basic SQL code to separate them by company name in the managed lists. All of these features for a one time cost of $325.00! If I was to be using LogMeIn still, I would have to spend over $24,000.00 PER YEAR! Another plus of this software is, you can setup your host (Your own computer running the "Server" portion) on a DYNDNS or OpenDNS account so that you can access it from any web browser, your iPhone or Android Based device. That and the software also allows you to create custom MSI, DMG, SH, and other format of files to be able to install this software easily on a vast variety of operating systems (including Linux), and code the installer with the company name of the client you are installing it at for easy reference. I for one am beyond satisfied with this software and I am happy to be using it. I would recommend it to anyone needing remote access software that is supporting 10 computers or higher.

  Summary

  Screenconnect is Superb value for money I have been using it with remote sessions extensively and I am extremely impressed. I have been looking for remote support software for my business for some time now and have been using a number of different products of varying price ranges, I used screenconnect and wow!! it has the features of products costing vastly more at an extremely good price. Features are being added rapidly and there is excellent customer service and is the one I finally decided to purchase. Screenconnect is self hosted which at first had me concerned that I needed a server, or separate PC to use it and there would be a lot of configuration to do, To my surprise set up was extremely simple and straightforward. I have set it up to test on my daily machine, on an old low spec PC single core with 512mb memory and also in a virtual server. Screenconnect has worked flawlessly on all, it is easy to setup & configure and I did not encounter any problems that was not resolved by looking at the help or screenconnect forums. The issue's I have encountered with other products are real bad stutter, lag and not reconnecting after a reboot which is a real hassle for the client and myself, I have not encountered these issue's with Screenconnect whatsoever and I have found it Run's very stable and is fluid in support session's, With no problem's reconnecting. Screenconnect has a sleek and customisable interface. It is extensively brandable to your business which is a big plus and with some tweaking you can make it all your own. I was using version 3.4 but recently updated to version 4.0 which has some great feature enhancements, the interface has been revamped, a timeline for session history, a client desktop preview where you can view system information such as operating system, processor, available memory and network address. The ability to execute remote commands on the machines has been added as well as chat with clients, all from the web user interface. All in all Screenconnect is a fantastic product already which has a great feature set, and at a fraction of the price of its competitors. It can only get better and I could not recommend it highly enough.

  Summary

  I am glad I took the time to setup a virtual server and test the ScreenConnect remote support solution. We have been using the beta ScreenConnect 4, on Windows Server 2012, for about three weeks or more now which is installed on our VMWare ESXi 5 server with four other virtual servers and it has been running GREAT. It hasn't been down for any reason so far. We have been looking for a while now to find a replacement for our expensive off-site remote support solution that we are currently using as I mentioned in previous emails. I have been pleasantly surprised with the ease of setup and use of ScreenConnect. Seems like every time I use ScreenConnect I discover a feature I hadn't noticed before. I was even able to do a beta version upgrade to the ScreenConnect server remotely from my house on a weekend using ScreenConnect! I lost the connection after I started the upgrade but it came directly back in once the upgrade finished. I actually had gotten my car keys and was ready to drive back to my office to finish the upgrade when my session connected back! That really impressed me. The static clients that we've installed on our client's servers take very little resources when in use and the ability to 'group' our client's remote servers, with permissions for different AD groups, works out perfect for us. Being able to integrate ScreenConnect permission with our existing active directory domain is very convenient. I've now moved about 45 of our clients remote static servers over to our ScreenConnect server and it has been working perfect. I am almost ready to move the rest of our clients servers over to ScreenConnect. We have had problems in the past with our current provider's client software taking almost 20% of the clients processing power at times and interfering with multiple different server/client based virus protection softwares. That caused major problems until we figured out what was causing the slowness and then we had to go through a major process of manually removing the remote client software services and reinstalling them multiple times. The remote command prompt is really amazing and saves us a lot of time troubleshooting connectivity problems with our clients email servers without opening a session and logging in. Over all we have been very impressed with the performance, features and ease of use. Being able to customize the interface with our logo is "icing on the cake" for us which is very easy to create a custom look for our support website and icons on our clients servers.

  The best remote support software on the market. Screenconnect gives us the ability to quickly connect to our clients with no fuss. We are able to completely brand the product and integration to our website was a breeze. Screenconnect has lighting fast remote control, toolbox's and many other features that we use every day.

  Very easy to install and understand. Company listens to what the users have to say and will change software if it is for the better. Resolve issues fast and very professionally. PRICE PRICE PRICE and did I mention PRICE! Cant bet it!

  If I think of one I will let you know. They are right on top of problems when they do happen. What more can you ask for?

  Pros

  ScreenConnect is easy to get up and running and I enjoy not having to pay a monthly fee. The staff at Elsinore is quick to respond to any issues or questions. Great product!

  Cons

  Not being able to disable mouse support on my tech's side.

  Summary

  This product has pretty much all the features you need from a desktop support tool. You pay for it once and you don't have to pay mothly. So the price ends up being way cheaper in the end. The performance is great and it is very straight forward. Don't over think your desk top tool selection. This is the way to go.

  Pros

  The software is easy to install, works on MAC, PC, and LInux, it is self hosted which allows users to support their own sessions instead of using a 3rd party, and there is a one time fee that is much cheaper than most of the other solutions.

  Cons

  It is not a meeting tool like Webex allowing tons of people to join a session and it doesn't have some of the bells and whistles like laser pointer and whiteboard.

  Summary

  Bottom line this software works, as a remote support solution it provides all the necessary functionality such as screen recording, reboot & reconnect, reboot in safe mode, logging, and file transfer. The software is self hosted which means no monthly or annual fees. And the price is ideal at ~$250 for a single user and ~$2000 for an unlimited license!

• Does what it says-- very well

  Pros

  Very well put together product that does exactly what it says-- easily facilitates remote support. I was conducting a remote session less than 2 minutes after downloading. Works with Windows, Macs, and Linux. Themeable.

  Cons

  Doesn't have lots of features like some other products in the space. Only technicians can create sessions.
