Used SaveDir for Windows?
Editors’ Review
You can save the file list of a specific folder by using this handy application, but the app cannot list subfolder files. Although English-speaking users may have some minor difficulty installing it, SaveDir operates in two languages: German and English. The simple interface needs almost no help to understand. As you browse through your folders in a standard file tree, the program immediately displays the folder contents.
To list only the files you want, setting filters takes only a second. The file list displayed in the right pane is easily saved in ASCII text, making it easily altered and printed in all text-editing applications. There is even a useful shortcut that copies the current directory structure to your clipboard.
The program includes a handy search feature to find filenames within the list. Unfortunately, the program can only display and search the files of the current folder. Subfolders are listed, but their contents are hidden.
This is freeware only for personal, noncommercial use. Nonetheless, any home user looking for a basic tool for saving and printing single directory lists surely will appreciate this program.
