• Hit and miss and good luck

  Can use own music Program easy to use/ photos Like the toolbar choices Background choices and themes are great

  Videos are on a mission to work when they want to, and getting help is a major problem as support really doesn't find an answer until you have lost your mind. You get help and do all the fixes and still nothing. Had to figure out the problem on my own. Don't sign in to the websitefor now, use the desktop version and if thta doesn;t work then your done. Mp4's didn't work either, as you send and get back that file, not.

  Summary

  Try uninstalling, then use desktop version and send to online for videos. Tried Photoshow 5 and the videos worked ecxept no sound. How can Photoshow6 work one month and not the next months down the line. There has to be a bug, but try to get the exact way to fix it. I has so much success until they changed companies, and there lies the problem.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Nov 20, 2012<p/>Oh, yes! I used download.com and with it came claro-search and it screwed up my PC for hours.I unchecked the toolbar from caro-search and it still installed. Froze the crap out of my pc and even my Norton wouldn't work. Poohey/fooey. Won't download anything from here again.

  Easy to use Can use own music Life is good and THEN...

  Still photos are NO problem but just try uploading a video to use in your slideshow - for me, I tried to do so, then after it informed me "processing" it went like the Beatles "Nowhere Man!" Freezing issues.

  I contacted technical support about this issue and will be asking for a refund - was told I can get it. Here's the email response I received from a technician - the company knows about the issue but continues to advertise it - and NOT let current customers know this problem. SNEAKY and DISHONEST! The email I received: Thank you for contacting Corel Customer Support. As a consumer i understand your point-of-view, in all honesty we haven't received any word from the higher ups on when our Photoshow services will be up and running. Like you, i'm in this waiting game as well, i wanted Photoshow to work as much as you do because i use it personally. I don't want to give you answers which i cant back up and all i can give you now is mere honesty that its not yet working and i cant give you a definite time frame.   Decided not to use the trial version. It will not uninstall unless I first uninstall Roxio Creator. Companies should not do things like this.

  IF it works, you have many features for your photoshow. Everyone loves my shows and always asks for others.

  Cons

  Can't burn to DVD! I've had to go around the barn to get a copy of my photo shows for the last six months. I PAID THE FEE EACH YER FO THIS! Forget customer support. They told me to uninstall Roxio and follow the directions they sent me. THE COMPUTER TEACHER AT MY SCHOOL could not get the instructions to work!

  Summary

  Stay away from this! It is NOT free and it works sometimes. There are other shows out there to purchase that are as good if not better SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY WORK 100% of the time. We are now dealing with the Attorney General in our state to get our money back!

  Can not burn DVD without purchasing "free" software. Once you have software you may not be able to burn a DVD and the subscription is not less than 1 year. SAVE TIME AND MONEY - don't try to use on the family home computer if it's over 3 years old. This software package sucks the memory our of your system. Tech support is all email and not informative. More sales than support

  Summary

  Could have saved 2 weeks of my live by never seeing this software. Should have tried to determine all the negatives prior to beginning. Try to get the best CPU configuration possible before using this software.

  Emailing for a week with receipt from Roxio and PayPal that program is upgraded- still the account is basic- I can't burn Cd's and premium features. Not happy

  Use to be great - now it sucks!

  Customer service sucks - for 6 months they still can fix on 2 separate computers. I have 28 photoshows that I can't burn to a cd.

  Use to be a great product, they have since made it worse. You are forced to upgrade to premium and then you can't burn DVD's. Dealing the 3rd world country for customer service is a joke. I will stick w/Picasa it isn't as fun as the old Roxio, but at least it works!

  An apparently arbitrary maximum of 400 files in one show

  Almost immediately upon running the software I found out that you can't use more than 400 images in a slideshow. I have 548 images. No other slideshow-to-DVD software I've tried has such a limitation. Why does Roxio? Lame.

  Pros

  Easy to intall and use. Buying a subscription provides many more options to choose from. People I have sent the final product to loved it! They are excited to receive these shows and can't wait to view them.

  Cons

  It would be nice if the software converted the pictures to HD 1080i and corrected for clearity and sharpness. Many other programs have these features.

  Summary

  Good product for someone just starting to get into slide shows that are easy to create and use to get on the web and email quickly.
