Your job at Rocknor's Donut Factory is to shape, cook, decorate, and ship donuts by sending them through a series of machines using directional tiles. The puzzle game launches with your choice of windowed or full-screen mode. You can test your tile layouts at any time by starting the factory with the space bar. In the trial version, you play through the 12 levels at the Donut Academy. The paid version includes 99 more levels progressing through the Donut Lounge, Donutropolis Central, the Factory Store, and the Factory Labs. It's a good thing the paid version has so many puzzles, because the replay value of each level is low. The Solutionizer, the game's hint function, slowly lays out the entire pattern for you; we would prefer general hints or the ability to click through one step at a time. Kids might particularly like Rocknor's Donut Factory because of the cute graphics, but grownups can ignore the Solutionizer and enjoy the challenging puzzles.

Developer's Description

Rocknor's Donut Factory is a clever puzzler that combines robots, donuts, and logic into a wild combination of conniving scenarios that take creativity, experimentation, and trial and error to solve. The recipe is simple: take your dough, shape it, cook it, finish it off with delicious toppings, and ship it out to your customers. However, it's not as easy as it sounds: you have a limited amount of machines and dough to get your donuts made. Making donuts requires a lot of creative experimentation and trial and error to get things right, but that's the fun of it.

Rocknor's Donut Factory features game play that allows you to experiment as much as you want with no restarts or time limits--keep playing as long as it takes to solve it. Both fans of puzzle games and critics alike have applauded Rocknor's Donut Factory for its focus on fun and addictive puzzle-solving without distractions and penalties.
