RenameIt is a tool that changes the names of files and folders according to set of rules based on the use of regular expressions. RenameIt uses Perl Compatible Regular Expressions (PCRE) to perform the matching and replacing. RenameIt can save your file and folder renaming rules as a project that can be invoked from the command line or in a batch file. This is useful when you want to program complex file and folder renaming operations, such as when archiving. No installation is required, runs as a standalone windows executable. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.
