Registry Optimizer 2006 is designed to enhance your system's performance by removing invalid Registry keys, but the demo merely reveals the problems.
The interface is fairly straightforward and very easy to use. The program's error scans pinpoint problematic ActiveX controls, invalid application and file paths, and orphaned help files. The scan results are displayed according to error type with check boxes to indicate removal, though there's no adequate information provided about the effects or the safety of deleting Registry items. Thankfully, the program creates a backup of deleted Registry items. The program also provides quick access to the Registry Editor.
Unfortunately, the trial limitation is so strict that you are not allowed to remove even a single item. Registry Optimizer 2006 is effective in presenting the invalid Registry items in your system, but folks who want to remove these nuisances will be disappointed.
